It's a known fact that continuously staring at a computer screen for hours can be hazardous to your health. Periodically taking breaks can reduce stress, eyestrain and prevent many other kinds of maladies. Rest Your Eyes (RYE) will ensure you step away from the computer once in a while by displaying a screen saver or running a selected application at preset intervals. It doesn't necessarily reduce productivity because you may easily close your screen saver if you're really busy, or simply disable RYE while you're on-line. You can manually set the interval between breaks as well as the length of those breaks. RYE can also display tips to encourage ergonomic practices such as correcting your posture. Further, RYE will analyze your progress and generate a report detailing your work and rest periods. The data can be exported to your spreadsheet application to be delivered to your physician. As a bonus, Rest Your Eyes is also capable of automatically synchronizing your PC clock with a time server on the Internet.
