Having any one of the many types of comfortable wheelchairs will make you more apt to stay in the wheelchair for the duration of the illness without becoming uneasy or stressed about it. Not everyone can handle crutches. When you suffer from a broken foot or leg, crutches may seem like the easiest solution to getting around. The only bad thing about that idea is that you would need crutches for about four to six weeks, and you would need to have the strength to handle the crutches. Sometimes, crutches are impossible, and you would be left with no other choice but to remain in a wheelchair for the duration of your illness.
